Description

Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this classic Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce for sale. This Giulietta Spider wears its original color combo of Sky Blue with a black vinyl interior and top. This car had the same owner since 1989 and was completely restored at that time when he acquired it.

The engine has a non-Veloce block with Veloce accessories on it. We have a letter of authenticity from Alfa Romeo stating that this Giulietta was in fact born as a Veloce model. The floors have been recently replaced with steel panels. The job was very well done but the floorpans are not stock factory Alfa, the correct floorpans are available and can be bought and installed for about $750.

The top is in great condition and seals as tight as can be expected for a car this age. This example starts, drives, and stops like it should. The transmission has been upgraded to a later Alfa 5-speed unit which makes it great for highway cruising. The car is now in very presentable, driver condition and even though we have had it a short time, it has won our hearts with its fun to drive factor.

On the rear deck near the passenger (reachable from the driver’s seat) is a battery cut-off switch that lends a little touch of race car to this super sporty Spider. The Twin Cam, 1290cc 4 cylinder engine has a light alloy cylinder block and head with overhead camshafts. The fuel and air is mixed by two Weber twin throat carburetors equipped with the factory airbox. It is very healthy, sounds sweet, and loves to rev.

The Giulietta Spiders were designed by the famous Italian design house of Pininfarina from Ferrari fame and it shows, from certain angles it looks like a smaller version of a 250GT California.
