1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce For Sale by Auction For sale in our forthcoming auction in Paris, on 8 April 2018. French title Chassis n°157435 Engine n° AR00129 11629 - Rare Veloce version, - Pure design, powerful car - Eligible for numerous historic race events This rare Giulietta Sprint Veloce combines a highly elegant body with a powerful 1290cc engine with twin carburettors. The current owner bought the car in 2015 in order to take part in Tour Auto, the car was at that time competing in historical races in Italy. This Giulietta is in excellent condition today, having been completely overhauled during the last two years. It has been prepared by renowned marque specialist Espace Century (invoices in the file), with the aim of being competitive in historic racing. The car was taken back to bare metal for restoration, and work was carried out on the gearbox, axle, brakes and suspension. The engine had been rebuilt prior to this, it's a block from the Giulietta TI, same engine size and same period. The car was then repainted in the attractive and original white colour. Inside, there are two bucket seats and the indispensable roll-cage. The car comes with its FIA homologation papers and invoices relating to the recent work carried out. This very powerful Sprint Veloce has achieved impressive results in Tour Auto these last two years, including 3rd in the Index of Performance in 2017, demonstrating the quality of its preparation and the talent of its drivers. Rare and exclusive in this Veloce version, this is a highly regarded and recognised classic, that is eligible for all the most prestigious competitions. This lot is sold with VAT included. The VAT can be refunded to any European registered company in the car business which acquired it at auction, providing it holds a VAT European registration number and it can prove the lot has been transported to his country of residence. The VAT will be reimbursed to any buyer residing outside the EU, providing he can give evidence of this exportation, such as export papers duly signed and cleared by the French customs or from any other member country of the EU.
