1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce Spider
s/n AR1495 F *05144*, Engine no. AR1315 *31935*
Black with Black Leather

Genuine, factory 1300cc Veloce. Perhaps the most desirable of the Veloce Spider variants employing the more modern 101 series underpinnings while retaining the highly desirable 750 series short wheel base chassis. Correct date range engine number, likely original to this chassis. 5 speed transmission with rare “tunnel case” shift knob. Sold new in California and still registered on California black plates. Ultra solid dry climate undercarriage. Restored and rebuilt in 1982, with just one Northern California owner since. Maintained in a no-expense-spared fashion since restoration by Phil Reilly & Co. (1983-2011), including major brake, chassis, and ignition system service totaling over $7,000 in 2004. Additional work performed by Larry Eisner and Jack Hunt, 2004-2011. Freshly detailed engine bay. Still equipped with difficult to replace cast aluminum airbox mounted to 40DCOE Weber carburetors. Factory gauges, steering wheel, and switchgear. Original drum brakes and steel wheels, shod with 5 new Vredestein tires in 2008. Operational trunk lock. Fabric soft top. Original owner’s manual with leather pouch and jack included, along with records back to 1983. A wonderful, strong running and driving Bay Area Veloce spider, employing nice driver cosmetics.
