PREVIOUS OWNERS:  JACK CHELSEY - MARYLAND,

This is a true Giulia Spider Veloce (1600, 10118 series car) complete with the original, matching number engine block. The car is in need of extensive restoration, included re-construction of the floor pans and a re-do of a rocker panel replacement which was done, in a rankly amateur manner (using pop rivets), before I acquired the car.  The trunk floor appears OK, but no promises here. Obviously, the car needs a complete stripping and paint job.

The car was originally white, repainted red. The bodywork is essentially straight with the exception of an area (shown in the pictures) on the right rear fender behind the passenger side door--which, again unfortunately, was subjected to a rankly amateur repair effort prior to my acquisition of the car. Although the hood is not shown in the pictures, the correct, original hood, complete with trim strip, is included, and is straight. (it was stored inside the car at the time the pictures were taken.

The engine and transmission are out of the car. The engine is dis-assembled, and will need a complete re-build, but all of the correct, unique Veloce parts (carbs, air-box, intake manifold, headers, distributor, air-box braces, oil sump, pump, and pick-up, motor mounts, headers, etc. EXCEPT the air-filter cannister) are included. The cylinder head carries the correct (105 series) casting # for this car. The transmission is assembled, and was supposedly re-built before I acquired the car.

The correct front (disc) and rear (drum) brakes and master cylinder (condition unknown) and linkage are on the car. The car has the correct rear axle (41:9 ratio). Five correct wheels and hubcaps and most of the body trim (inclusive of bumpers and eyebrows), interior trim, and the dash instruments are present and in restorable and/or serviceable condition. The tires are ROTTEN and flat. Soft-top and frame are in the car and in serviceable condition. All of the glass is present, not broken.

The pictures show the car with a Parrish Plastics removeable hard-top installed, which is NOT included in this auction. (I have kept the plastic top on the car in order to mitigate further deterioration.) HOWEVER--I do have a correct, real-deal Pinin-Farina steel removeable hard-top, completely straight, but also in need of restoration and paint which fits this car. I would be willing to include the steel P-F top with the car for an additional price to be negotiated with the successful bidder after the close of the auction.

This car is an excellent, truly viable candidate for a full restoration to 'original' condition, and richly deserves to receive such a restoration. If you have bothered to read this far, you very likely know what one of these cars (a matching number 10118 series, 1600, Alfa Giulia Spider Veloce) is worth if properly restored, and you should also have a clear idea of what it would cost to perform such a restoration. Please bid accordingly, and PLEASE only bid if you are serious about the car and are also fully qualified to do it justice.

Payment of a deposit of $2,500, via PayPal, will be REQUIRED within 24 hours of the end of the auction, and payment of a total of at least 40% of the final sale price (inclusive of the deposit) will be required within 7 days of the end of the auction, by means acceptable to the seller. The remainder of the full balance will be due as negotiated between buyer and seller, but no later than upon delivery to the buyer or to a carrier.

The car is presently situated in northwest Colorado. The successful buyer may arrange to have it picked up where it is, or I have the means and would be willing to negotiate with said buyer to deliver it (via either open or enclosed trailer) to any location (or port) in the continental  US of A. Obviously, the car does NOT run, and cannot 'drive on' to a transporter.

A valid, clear title will be included with the vehicle.

Thank you for looking.
