History: I purchased the Veloce Spider as an incomplete restoration project in 2001. The owner worked at a Morgan restoration ship in Berkeley, CA and he purchased the car as a project in 1989 for $10k at the height of the classic car boom. The story is that it was originally sold in Berkeley and had spent it life in the Bay Area. It threw a rod in the 1980s and ruined the block (and took a chunk out of the inside of the Veloce pan). It was rebuilt with a 105 block, but all the Veloce bits. After I purchased it, I had the engine rebuilt again (correctly this time),but still used the 105 block. Car is now in better than new condition and is used regularly on Alfa club tours.
