This 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce is a late production 750E model that was built on February 15, 1960 and is finished in Bianco Gardenia over light blue. It was sold new in Montreal, Canada and was owned by racing driver Eppie Wietzes until 1987. A mechanic for Mario Andretti’s CART team reportedly acquired the car from Mr. Weitzes, and it reportedly traded ownership just once before being acquired by the seller in 2018. Power is provided by the original 1.3L twin-cam four, which is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox. A tune-up and fluid change were recently performed in preparation for the sale. This 750E Sprint Veloce is now being offered with an Alfa Romeo Certificato di Origine, records, and Quebec registration.

Coachwork for the standard Giuletta Sprint was styled and built by Bertone, and this example was repainted in its factory Bianco Gardenia sometime in the 1980s. The finish is shown from a variety of angles in the gallery, which also contains close-up photos of the brightwork, badging, and amber taillights.

The 15” Fergat wheels are equipped with polished covers and wear 155-width Pirelli Cinturato P3 tires. Braking is managed by four-wheel drums. This 750E is reportedly one of the last 1oo produced before the factory shifted to 101-series production.

A stock steering wheel sits ahead of Veglia instrumentation, including a 140-mph speedometer and Veloce-specific 8k-rpm tachometer. 35k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, fewer than 1,000 of which were added by the seller over the past year.

Factory specifications for the 1.3-liter Veloce inline-four include a 9.1:1 compression ratio, high-lift camshafts, shot-peened connecting rods, and tubular headers. This engine is also equipped with a pair of Weber DCO3 carburetors, cast aluminum factory plenum, and a FISPA air cleaner.

The Sprint Veloce received a 10:4.1 final drive and a floor-shift four-speed gearbox from the factory. Additional photos of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
